failure initializing input devices

First time out of the vault
I've done a search, but I haven't been able to figure out how to fix this problem. When I tryto run Fallout after the Humongeous installation under Windows XP I get a black screen, then the Windows error message "failure initializing input devices". Could anyone help me?
 
Someone could try reading the stickies, for instance.
 
Nothing in the stickies work for me. From the manuel install to hardware acceleration. :(
