Falche Won't Apply...

First time out of the vault
I'm using Fallout V 1.2 with the High Resolution Patch, and I recently downloaded Falche. I can get Falche to display the two save games, however, after applying and clicking OK, it does nothing to the savegame. It stays the exact same from before Falche...
 
I've tried with both the Windows version and the DOS version; they both save the settings when I go into them, yet it doesn't appear in game...
 
It's difficult to say without more information. Did you check if the save files were marked as read only for some reason? Do you have a Windows version that spirits your saves and ini files away to inappropriate places?

The save files are definitely in the right place, however, I can't open the files, just view the titles...

Wow! are you the guy that wrote the Nearly Ultimate Fallout guides?
 
You should get the FSE editors, it might be some sort of incapability error. That being said be sure of your install path, maybe make a new game or name a previous save something else. You can then try opening it in falche to see if it's name changed.

F2se, and F1se are better editors I was more recently pointed to.
