Fallou2 help needed: NPCs stop following me

mirv

First time out of the vault
Apologize if I post in a wrong forum...

okay here is the ting...

Don't know since when, those npcs just stand put instead of following me, nor do they carry out my orders.

I thought it was okay but things are now getting worse and worse without functional npcs.

any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm using Killap's 1.02+ patch.

wrong forum since you are not using the official patch.

Since you don't know when this began, that complicates things. Could you perhaps e-mail me a save game (use the address found in the readme of my patch) Also, if you could provide ANY more information about this it would REALLY be appreciated and actually make this a solvable issue.

I'm glad to get your reply killap, after a hard recalling, I'm positive the problem begun in "modoc", yes I am. But I have no idea what might triggered it.

I just sent the game save, hope it helps

you did a great work making this game better! (and fallout as well)

thanx!

No message receive yet. Also, are your NPCs stuck in Modoc? Did you by chance get married? This wouldn't make sense though since this bug is fixed...

maybe a delay in delivery, you should recieve soon.

well the game run's normal except this npc thing, it's just getting difficult since they cannot be counted on and I have to do the quests on my own. and my character isn't married.

Got it. I shall test it later since it is getting late where I am. Also, what version of my patch are you using? A or B? Is it from the latest (November) release?

Since my game is 1.02 version, I got the patch B, from here

And no hurry, you have a good sleep :)

Wait...though you have version 1.02 do you by chance have a patch000.dat file in your Fallout 2 directory? If so, you must delete it and install version A of my patch. The only time you should install version B of my patch is if the 1.02 patch is inside the master.dat file and there is not a patch000.dat file. This is a rare scenario though some people have reported this being the case with them.

I'll reinstall the game to see what happens then
