Fallout 1.05 and Miria Mod help, please

First time out of the vault
Hello,

Longtime fan of Fallout and have just reinstalled and thought to see what mods where out there. Fallout 2 1.05 and the Miria Mods looked pretty cool so I downloaded them. Unfortunatly, neither seems to be working.

In case it matters:
I'm running XP and it is a Humongous Installation from the Duel Jewl Fallout 2 (the one where Fallout and Fallout 2 are packaged together and already patched).

I've also looked through the stickes at the top and I do not quite understand what they mean or if they help me at all.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Hmm. The patch is already included in 1.05, maybe that's a problem. And I don't actually know if the Miria MOD is compatible with 1.05.

if its the patch that does it, then its just to delete or rename the patch000.dat

If you're talking about the same Miria mod that I have, then it doesn't replace any files that are included in the 1.05 mod, so technically it ought to work. But last time I used it, I could only get the patch to work, and not the Miria mod. I've reinstalled recently, but have not as yet made it to Modoc, so I can't tell if it works...

I just checked, it doesn't.

Is there any way to quickcheck if the miria mod works?
I just installed it and none of the floating text thingies she's supposed to have (according to the readme) are working :)

The NPC miria enhancement not working for me.

hi, I am new here, I am not sure if this had ever posted before.
Please excuse me if it ever posted.

Recently I just reinstall the fallout2 and found out there are so many mod available.

So I install offical 1.02 patch, the f2nv11eng patch (the large mod which add some quest in Arroyo, Klamath...), f2patch1_05, f2patch1_05 updater, and Miria patch...

However, the result is pretty disappointing in my case.

f2patch1_05 seems not working for me and so do Miria patch...

for example
I don't see dog tag in enclave's soldier in Klamath and raider base is shown as unknow in map... Even Worse, Miria acting like old ones, no level up nor floating text avabile and according to readme, the Miria patch include B-Team patch already, so that means if any of my NPC wear armour, they will be shown automatically, but it fails too...

I am sure I follow instruction, copy Miria's patch into Fallout2/data directory.

For 1.05 patch I just copy into data, replace fallout2.exe

Does anyone know what had I done wrong ? Any help will be greatly appreaciated. Million thanks !!

Remove the patch000.dat file from main Fallout2 folder.

the Miria patch include B-Team patch already, so that means if any of my NPC wear armour, they will be shown automatically, but it fails too...
Miria mod includes changing armour only for Miria, but Full B-Team mod is included in 1.05 patch.
Miria mod must be installed as last one if you want it to work(it should overwrite Mcmiria.int file from 1.05).

hmm...thanks jargo.

but the thing is I didn't only install 1.05 and Miria patch but also the large mod (TeamX 's new fallout2 version)..

So if I delete the Patch000.dat, that means I will lose TeamX's mod ? and even worse, have to restart the game !?

so if these patches are compatiable to each other. how to install them in correct order ??

1. TeamX Patch
2. 1.05 Patch with updater
3. Miria patch

?!?!?!

Well the problem is that TeamX New Vision and 1.05 patch are nor really compatiable to each other. They both contain 1.02 patch and change many files. New Vision is in patch000.dat file so it always overwrite 1.05 patch and that is the source of your problem.
B-Team and Miria will not work too with New Vision.

Choice is yours.
