Hi all.
I'm having a problem with the screen constantly going black when playing FO1 in win2k. Quite annoying! I tried it in DOS. But, man it's far too slow on the game and area loads!
So, what can I do about the black screen problem? And, if that's a problem I can't get around, is there anything I can do to speed up the DOS version?
System has Athlon TBird 750 and 256mb PC133. Surprising that it's so slow in DOS. Also, I am using win2k compatibility mode, and I tried the manual install instructions from Interplay's Fallout FAQ. Windows and drivers are up to date too.
The game runs fine, have had no crashes at all. Installing the game through it's setup, when I installed it the first time, went perfectly well too. It's just this damn black screen crap.
Well, thanks (in advance) for any ideas you all may have.
