Fallout 1 crash joining Brotherhood of Steel

I just finished the mission where I have to get into the glow, take something with me and deliver it to the Brotherhood of Steel. I took with me every holodisk I could find with me, and arrived at the BoS. I gave them to the guy with the talking head that gives you the mission, and 'just' when I get to enter, the game crashes. I can actually hear a level-up sound so that means that just before it crashes I finished the quest. This is the error: http://puu.sh/9grBN/70485ae058.jpg

I would be great full if anyone has the fix, or even tries.

Does this happen ~every time~ ?

(After reloading and trying again from the same save.)

I'm guessing it's caused by steam. Almost always better to play the game from the disc.

Yes to both. I have tried three different saves or so, and it is on Steam. This is really frustrating because it took me over a week to fix Fallout 1 in the first place. And I forgot to add that when I crash, my save becomes corrupt. Every time I want to travel through the map the game will give the same error.

Have you had steam check your game file consistency? Maybe your files are corrupt.

Please don't speak to me in such a tone; it hurts my feelings.

[moved thread], and @tyree079 if you were indeed using my mod, please do try the patch if you have other crashes. I assume it's my mod since this is an issue it had.

That being said, if you did the "Check & Repair Game Files" thing in Steam, it's likely it replaced my files with vanilla (original unmodified game) files, so in the case of further crashes, you should probably re-install Fixt alpha 6.7.2 and then apply patch 6.7.3 - this should go fairly smoothly, since the installer will remember all the options you choose last time. As usual, though, make sure to back up all your Fallout data first, just in case.
