fallout 1 game locks up when leaving map or saving??

Hello,

I've recently started playing Fallout 1 & 2 again when I came across them in my bookcase. Fantastic games!

After playing 2 for I while, I decided I was going to play out Fallout 1 first.

I started a nice game, using 2 savegames in case of any bugs, witch occur in both games in my experience. Already had the " unable to load game" bug once.

Saturday I saved the game in Junktown, using both slots. Now, a day later, I can load both games, but it ends there. Leaving the map (green or brown zone), I get a black screen and a windows application error. When I try to save I have the same problem.

The game itself works fine, I can start new games, save them etc. etc. But My ongoing game in Junktown is f**-ed up! grrrrr..

I'm in the first part of Junktown, last thing I did was kill the doctor and his goons.

I have Fallout 1.2, european version (equal tot 1.1) Installed the Childeren patch and played for several days without problems. Tried re-installing the game, different pathes and everything, to no avail :(

Very frustrating. I would appreciate any ideas!

I just started a new game with 4 save games, luckily I was only in Junktown. I'm a lot farther now with no problems.

I just won't use all my savegames on the same map anymore :)
