Fallout 1 keyboards not working

First time out of the vault
I've searched for this in the help thing but its got nothing in fallout 1 my keyboard doesnt respond

for example im trying to type my name in and nothing shows up, same with skipping FMV i have to click

I think this is the right place to put this thread.
