First time out of the vault
Asking for tech help on a game that's as old as Fallout 1, I'm bracing myself for some ridicule and overall dismissive remarks, but that being said:
I've finished Fallout, and the ending will not play correctly.
I'm using OS X on my MacBook laptop, and the problem is reminiscent of the one I experienced with Fallout 2 on my PC. The ending starts to play, cuts itself short, then rapidly and sporadically shows still scenes (Shady Sands, the Brotherhood, etc.) with little or no audio. With my PC, I remedied the problem by running dxdiag and adjusting the sound accelerator, and while this seems like this would work with my Mac, I don't know how to do it. And the usual Google search/keyword search proved fruitless.
I apologize if this is something that has been asked about a million times already, but I just want to know how it all turns out. Without help from Youtube. Thanks in advance for any help.
