Fallout 1 trainers

First time out of the vault
I am stuck. I am sissy and I just can't kill even one Deathclaw. I searched for trainers but not a single one seems to work. Are there any that actually work in XP? I bought the Fallout Collection on DVD. I can't read what the version number is it's all washed out looking. Looks like 1.8.
