Fallout 2 and Windows 2003

The Dude

First time out of the vault
Hell yeah, got that crazy itch again. I just tried to install Fallout 2 but it gave me a blue screen (totally blue, no text) while running the setup and only thing to do was pressing escape to return to windows.

I remember something when running it in XP about manually installing it. I just started using the new Windows 2003, and guess it gives me a same kind of problem as XP.

Does anyone have a suggestion how to make it work?

Guess not, how did one make it work in XP?

I don't get it, . My PC is a matter of 3 months old, i've got XP and had no problems what so ever installing any of the Fallouts or playing them.
What is the problem that normally occurs when installing the game using XP?

Thought installing in XP gave me a problem too, but I mixed it up with Fallout 1.

I guess Bill Gate sfinally kicked us to death by not being able to play Fallout 2 in Windows 2003. Guess it won't work in Windows Longhorn either.

I installed XP next to 2003 and it works now...

Hey,

Well Windows XP give me some problems it was like this: Invalid WIN-32 execution program... But that's easily fixed by just right clicking install blabla the link I send before says it all...

Grtz, Fire Sprite

PS: It may have happened cause of Illegal copy ;)

erm..Windows 2003 isn't out yet, so pirate warez isn't allowed and no talk about it either, consider yourself warned Fire Sprite..

why not? you can use Server as a Workstation too. I have Advanced Server here at home. I use it as a gateway, divx (matrox g400 dual head) and pretty much that's it. Also I can play Fallout 2 with great tv out... it's a pleasure playing
