fallout 2 based weapons mod (values only, no new weapons)?

Ok, so im thinking of putting together a small weapons internal values mod (damage, range and so on) for fallout 3 based on fallout 2 weapons values...

just wondering if there is any interest in such a mod?

if not, ill probarbly just make it for myelf and not release it, but if theres interest i will post it on the nexus and possibly keep it updated (if need be)

EDIT: just a little update to how im thinking on this.
Ill be using the following formula to calculate AP use:
how many shots/attacks could be done in one turn with the highes AP available in fallout 2 (12 ap IIRC) with each weapon.
Then rework that to fall into the fallout 3 AP category (im going to go on the 85 max base value, not the 140/260 values) so that it can be used the same ammount of times.
Fx. shooting a pistol in F2 cost you 5 AP wich is roughly 2.4 times per turn.
that equates to roughly 34 AP in F3 terms.
(when it comes to automatics i will also change the firingrate to fallout 2 values)


Damage will be done on a basis of "averages"
so base damage will be based on the average damage of a fallout 2 weapon (and since those damages are based on "dice" rolls in fallout 2 i will base them on the averages of those rolls)
this is just a rough thought for now, but i might iron it out a bit more before making the mod.

range will be looked into a bit, but im not sure ill base that off fallout 2...
 
my only comment would be on the range, i think we're dealing with a bigger scale in FO3 than in FO2. I would be interested though, especially if old weapons were reintroduced ala the Wattz Laser Pack thingy.
 
well ive almost given up on the idea (got no time to do it right now)

but i thought id explain that by the range i mean the difference in ranges of the different weapons...

so they wont have a reach of "22" instead the internal values would have been used to determine the different ranges of the weapons in F3.
am i making any sense?
