Fallout 2 crash error

Hey all, i found your forums while looking for a solution to a crash error i keep experinceing every time i try to head to the west side of the den. I'm running winxp with the right coding in order to get past the /load text error, and I have all patchs (official/unoficial). I just cant get past this error. I'm done in the side of the town and past it but i need to get to a vendor there. I played this game till the disc pretty much burnt up way back in the day and i just bought the 2-pack off ebay thats being offered out there in anticipation of fallout 3.

any suggestions, ideas, or fixes would be greatly appreciated.

If you are running the 1.05 patch, then that is probably the problem. Several people have reported crashes in the Den using that patch. I suggest using my patch (killap's patch) and restarting. The author of the 1.05 patch is no longer around so he won't be able to provide feedback.

Secondly Killap, thanks for the suggestion. I already tried that but now i'm just going to resort to a complete uninstall/reinstall and then patch it with your patch.

I'll let you know what happens.
