Fallout 2 - End scene skip

i tried looking at other thread and i couldn't seem to find this topic so i wanted some help with this. when i beat the enclave in Fallout 2 and the final scene finishes, the aftermath storyline scene of what happens after you save the world keeps skipping.

For e.g. the narrator will talk about what happens to the people of Arroyo but then it will automatically jump to the next city and it does for all the cities.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

In other words: turn off directx hardware acceleration for sound and/or video.
