Fallout 2 Game Freeze

In the Ghost Farm area, when I go back to do the second quest the game freezes as soon as I enter the area. THe only way to get out of the game at that point is to shut down my computer. As this has happened five times now I'm assuming it's a real problem. Otherwise the game has run perfectly. Is there a fix for this?
 
If you're talking about the 'save Johnny' quest, and you're running the UK version, you need to run the 'children patch' to do it properly. I think in some cases it just falls over and blubs quietly to itself. This sounds like one of 'em.

If you do have the children patch installed, then there really is no alternative but to steer clear of the 'save Johnny' quest.

I got it working, but some can and some can't. Odd.

Just an idea; if you're not talking about this quest feel free to ignore my blitherings :)
