Fallout 2 help

I got fallout 2 again yesterday but there is a problem and was just wondering if you guys can help me out. First I will give you my specs:

I am running a XP,
With a 3.00 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4
768 Megabytes of Memory
HIGHTECH EXCALIBUR RADEON 9250 which is 128mb,
C-media usb headphone set
Directx 9.0c
All my drivers are upto date
I installed in with the cd

A couple of things to note, Im in the uk and I got the fallout collection out of game so it is not imported, but there is kids in the game, I have patched it with most uptodate patch and have not installed anything else including the children patch (so I dont know why the children are there)

Now with the problems:

1) When ever I get into a fight everyone runs away from me
2) I move realy fast on the map screen
3) There is sound but no music

Weird. They do that if you have über stats, but it shouldn't happen all the time in a normal game.

This is a known problem with fast processors. The files section should have some patch to slow it down, or do a search in the modding forum for fast+map+travel or something.

3) There is sound but no music

Did you check the path in the config file and disable hardware acceleration in dxdiag?

For 1) they stopped doing it now dont know why,
For 2) thanks ill take a look
for 3) I tried the disable hardware acceleration but no the paths so ill go check that. edit: I just checked the paths and there is nothing in my sound folders at all but the sounds are still playing.
edit2: I assumed that the data for the game would be encrpeted or something on the cd, but after checking to make sure i found the music files and copied them over and they work now.
