I poked around, and couldn't find a fix for this on these boards, so I apologize if this is redundant.
I'm trying to install Fallout 2 on my machine (US, if that helps) running Windows ME (my computer has more than the needed specs to run the program).
Every time I run the install from the disk, the red install bar only goes to about 1/3 of the way across, then ends and cuts to the demo movie for the game that is advertised on the disk (I don't remember this happening when I orginally had the game about 5 years ago, the one I'm running is one that I borrowed from a friend, it may be a newer version, but I'm unsure).
After the demo video, the autorun menu screen shows up, and the play button remains shaded. Any time I try to run the game from the shortcut or the program files/blackisle menu, I get an error that says something along the lines of "could not load text/fonts."
How would I go about fixing this (I'm not too keen with computers, so a simplified explanation would be much appreciated)?
Thank you,
Nick
