Fallout 2: Klamath : Problem with Duntons

I have recently downloaded: hi res patch 1.6
: Killaps restoration Patch latest

Just a thank you to all, for the greatest addidtions to this game
to make it live even longer !!

i've played this game for + - 8 years

on to my problem :

In Klamath after helping torr with the bugmen
and inspecting duntons cow as well as finding the scorpion pincers
i see the duntons walking to the golden Gecko bar, i do the arm wrestle thing and confront them about the "Evidence" once combat starts my computer just slows down and the pc turns is after +- 10 min after about 20 min. never waited for my turn to come around since i doubt that it will ever come along

Please can someone help with this problem

Does this happen every time?

Also, you don't always have to fight the Duntons when confronting them (speech roll), so if you manage it peacefully, you shouldn't get any slowdowns.
