[Fallout 2] Marcus Going Agressive

First time out of the vault
Hi!

Ive encounted dozen of problems... but none that I haven't been avaible to deal with yet.. (some with help ive found here reading around) But couldn't find answer to my newest problem...

First when I told Marcus I wanted him to stay put he attacked me and stuffs... I loaded the game (was not long ago since save, I make it a habit saving, and after one of the problems I now use mutiple saving slots :P)... and 3rd time he didn't attack me... but now when I get back in sight of him, he attacks me on the spot...

What happend just before this is that I did a caravan from his home town Broken Hills... and durring that accidently killed a couple of the guards (wasn't aiming at em, but ya know with heavy guns)... and went back to the city and they attack me there as well (went to get car, and loaded there once to... coz first time markus killed the first attacker... didn't wanna kill anyone, besides I wanted to see if it was repeating)

Well, I think thats it... I hope someone could help me, or just make it clear for me Ill have to give up on Markus and kill him (or he will just kill me :P)

I believe that since Marcus counts as a Broken Hills character, he will turn hostile if you turn the people in BH hostile, which you apparently have. That he didn't attack at once must be a glitch. Apparently his "friendly" status while he's in your party overrides his being in league with BH residents temporarily...


Check up if there's something on that in Per's Guide, mayhap?

Uhhuh. I once went on a genocide tour and killed everybody in BH with Marcus in my party. Then when I went to Vault City I wanted to start by killing Lynette, but at the gates they told me I couldn't take Marcus with me, so I kicked him out of my party... and then he attacked me.
 
So I guess that killing the caravan guards is making Broken Hills hostile towards me... meaning Marcus is lost... coz from time to time Im sure Ill have to let him wait somewere...

First I though he just had enough with me, coz he seems kinda ironic when he says that he will wait and tighten his shoulders (well, not rigth that, but memory are lacking)... and it feelt kinda ironic from his side...

Well... he was only good carring stuffs for me, as I don't want him to shot my npcs apart :P

Any suggestions on who to use instead?
I currently got Vic and Cassedy :)
 
You can take advantage of Marcus to complete a certain quest in NCR... This should prove a final solution :evil:

Is it possible to do this whille in combat? I assume so, but wanna be sure :)

I read down a lil, lol and answer is there :P anyways... Ill have to look futher into that I guess :P and try avoid him as much as possible until then... :P



And any suggestion on what npc to use isntead?


And yeah, I read somewere its charisma/2 in amount of pepz ya can have :P well I have 5 charisma and can have 3 pepz with me... so I guess its 1 for 1st charisma, and 1 more for every 2 more after that :P so 1,3,5,7 and 9 :P so going 10 is no use for the fact of amount of companions :P
 
What's the point in quoting the walkthrough? I could have spoiled it for others myself if I wanted to :roll:

Meh, robot schmobot, just give me Cyberdoggie, K-9, Dogmeat, Miria and an empty Vault City to live in and I'm happy...
 
Im thinking about K-9, but not sure. This is the robot I can learn to use smallguns, right?

To bad there are to few that use big guns, looks a lil lame using Smallgun whille using powerarmor tbh

In Fallout 2, there are some quite powerful Small Guns, unlike in the original.
 
Yeah, there is some good small guns (in fact I belive small guns are stronger then energy guns, due to the deffense penitrate on Gaus Rifle).

But I still do like the large guns/energy guns just coz they look the coolest when using Power Armor. You gotta admit it looks kinda tiny using a small rifle whille using a big Power Armor :P

Here is me Vic and Cassidy, we are the greatest pals around :)
None of us miss Marcus anymore, he just shot us apart all the time.
