Fallout 2 marriage bug

I couldn't find this via the search function, but maybe I just suck.

Anyway, in Fallout 2 I was thinking about going about getting my husband/wife and I discovered that if I closed the door before doing the dirty (prior to completing his quest) it would cause the game to hang. Also, apparently if you plant dynamite on the father, thus killing him without making the town hostile, if you do the dirty the game will, again, hang.

Has anyone else seen this? Was this known previously?

It's known you can make it hang in a number of ways, including killing the father. I didn't know closing the door was one of them, though. Don't they close themselves anyway?

Closing the door shouldn't be a problem. Locking the door is what can cause the game to hang.

But in 1.02 at least the doors can't be locked.

If you kill the preacher the game also hangs.
