Fallout 2 Megamod Help me please

First time out of the vault
I'm using the newest Megamod and im having problems making items using the shaman perk, specificly I don't know how to do it, so not sure if its brok or not.

I've also did the sharpening task at the village, and was not able to learn the Mr-Fix it perk???

Learned from Mynoc:
Sharpened spear = Spear + Flint
I've also tried mutliuple combinations to make this work and no avail.

How do you use the make the following???
I've put the mortar and items in the 1/2 slots and dropping stuff, just don't know what the problem is.


Learned from Hakunin in Arroyo: (Shaman perk required)
Healing Powder = Mortar, 1 Broc flower + 1 Xander root

Antidote = Mortar, 1 Scorpion tail + 1 Booze

Suomi = Mortar, 3 Suomi ears

Shaman's potion = Mortar, 1 Peyote + 2 Bruho mushrooms

Poisonous substance = Mortar, 2 plant spikes + 1 Scorpion tail

Smoking weed = 3 Devil's weed

Envenomed spear = 1 Poisonous substance + spear

Envenomed knife = 1 Poisonous substance + knife

Envenomed throwing knife = 1 Poisonous substance + throwing knife
 
I figured it out, ctrl click on yourself and select the binoculers. Wish there was a readme file that pointed that out in mod..

Let me guess... you downloaded the Megamod, and it just so happens that the download contained every file, except the 'MrFixit readme.txt' in the 'readme files' folder?! Wow. That is impressive.

Wish people would do at least some basic reading before they started talking out of their ass. :roll:
 
Without knowning the WHICH mod i should be looking for i searched on "Shaman" and "Mortar" in all the readme files and on the forums. I skipped sharpen spear as who gives a crap about doing that.


Without knowing they are connected to MrFixit How should I know???

Its not very obvious.

Hey there again I've got a question. How do I use the sharpening spear skill and the shaman skill that can be gotten from Hakunin and Mynoc?

You were lazy. Own up to it. It's ok. As you said, you're not the only one (Doesn't make it any better, though). However, in your very first post of this thread, you mentioned Mr. Fixit two times. Again, the very name of the readme file. :roll:
 
No I was not lazy, and no there is no owning up to do on this. I spent hours looking for this information.

Had this forum been any better i'd have deleted my original post.


I didn't know if it was a perk or a mod, so didn't bother looking. And that was copied and pasted from a walkthrough.

Why do you put up your own read me, and at least refernace your Wiki site and include some instructions? Sounds kinda lazy for not doing that simple task.
 
How about taking a look at this issue instead of pissing contest?

When in combat my hit rate fluxes from short rannge being about 40-50% (1-5 Spaces) Medium Range (9-12) spaces 1-30% and 16+ spaces until weapon max range is 95%!

This problem could be affecting other ranged skills.

Can someone explain why I'm getting better hit rate at a longer range?? I know this is has to be a bug.

Example % with the following stats useing Sub Machine Gun.

5 Hex 43%
6 Hex 39%
7 Hex 35%
8 Hex 31%
9 Hex 27%
10 Hex 13%
12Hex 5%
13Hex 1%
16hex 95%
25Hex 95%



I'm Running latest version of Megamod

Didn't bother looking at the readme files. I'm not surprised. As for this copy and paste thing you mention, I have no idea what you are talking about. The readme file was written by TeamX since it is their mod.

I have made my own readme files. Look in the damn folder already. I've included installation instructions. I mention the wiki. There is no damn reason for me to rewrite stuff that is already in another readme file. But, pay attention here: the reason I haven't written whatever the hell it is you are looking for is because I didn't make this mod for you or anybody else in the community. I made it for me. That would make me selfish... not lazy. And why would I need a readme file for something I made? And another thing: you have no fucking clue how much work and time it took for me to put all this together. So I don't do this simple task you refer to, but do all the other stuff with this project. And that makes me lazy?! I think you need to relearn what that word means.

You haven't pushed any buttons. Really. It would take a whole lot more than you could dish out. I have no god complex, nor do I expect anyone to kiss my ass (and no one has). My attitude is of one who doesn't care. None of this is new... it's nothing I have not said before.

Yes the 95% works just as it says, I will hit 95% of the time at very long range. The original fallout 2 without the mod goes into a negitive whereas this after 0% goes straight to 95%

Probably the problem is that your line of fire is blocked by something.

Try moving to another position and see if it happens again.
