Fallout 2 - Missing Items

The Kotex Kid

First time out of the vault
If I remember correctly, little punk kids in the Den pilfer items from your inventory and they turn up in Tubbys, where you have to buy them back. I think one of those little miscreants made off with Vics spare radio of all things. I've waited a few days for the radio to show up at Tubbys but no luck.

I know I took it from his shed when I was in Klamath, and I was looking at it before I helped Lara and her gang kill Tyler, so I know I had it, it must have been stolen. Can anyone tell me where I can find my crap?

Flick's, the shopkeeper across the road from Lara's place, also accumulates stolen items, try there.

In the loo, where else?

Thanks, I'll look there.

I checked Tubbys once more and found my yellow reactor card from the Enclave in Klamath, so as soon as I get my stuff back I'm killing every orphan in Den.

That would be a bad idea since you would be flagged as a childkiller, F**king up your savegame pretty bad.

Try feeding the lil bugers super stims, 3 oughta do it, and theyll die (w/o the childkiller stat iirc)

Ditto with putting explosives in a bag and droping it by them.

Once again, iirc. Always save before trying advice.

Meh. Who needs Vic's radio anyways? Just talk to Metzger, tell him you want to see vic, get the guy to unlock the door and come back to Metzger, guns blazing.

That's what I tend to do. I usually take Sulik just to help with that fight (since, in spite of the general opinion, I don't care for him as a party member since I can't force him to use firearms exclusively and he uses SMGs mostly, which have burst mode and tend to give me flashbacks to Ian...)

Metzger's goons aren't too hard; stealing the shotgun off Metzger helps loads since it's a useful gun *and* it disarms him! The guards tend to have so-so aim. Sometimes if I have the radio I buy Vic, stuff a pistol in his hands, and immediately take Metzger down before we've left the building!
