Fallout 2 on Linux

I didn't see any threads on the matter and was wondering if I could get some help.

I have Xubuntu 11.10

I installed it using CrossoverGames and while it went all the way through, it doesn't actually let me play the game. It goes to the "PLEASE WAIT" screen then stops as if I never started the game to begin with.

Wine page says it works. I haven't tried it yet, last time I played I had a virtual machine running WinXP.
