Fallout 2: Pariah Dog map coords?

I've searched everywhere on google and this site and have found 0 reference points as to where to encounter this...I am trying to play a spec 10 char and the only thing I lack is 10 luck(for sniper perk). I read somewhere that you can encounter it in the wasteland south of Redding and West of Reno however countless hours of wandering both on foot and in car have turned up no such encounter. I have 2 of the 3 special perks for encounters I've watch youtube videos and if memory serves me right have ran into the "bad luck dog" closer to the Den. If anyone can remember a general area more specific than "south of Redding and west of Reno" would be much appreciated. This is my first time trying to play a max stat'd char(not using hex editors or drugs etc) to complete the game.

It's a random encounter... IIRC, those aren't pegged to even general areas of the map. I've read that "negative" encounters like Pariah Dog, the exploding brahmin, and the toxic dump are easier to find with a low luck, but I've never seen any solid confirmation on that. Either way, you just need to keep cruising until you find him. Stick to the desert tiles (as opposed to city, mountain, or coast)-- almost all of the encounters, dog included, will only ever turn up in the desert.

It should also be noted that, unless you plan on taking advantage of an exploit, the Pariah Dog isn't going to help your stated aims any.

Pariah dog will lower your luck to 1 and add jinxed trait, so it won't help for a sniper perk.

It has huge amount of hit points, and it's fun if you somehow can get your rivals to attack the dog instead of you. Basically they will run out of ammo trying to kill the dog and leaving you easy job to wipe 'em out
