Fallout 2 Problem

So I've moved on to Fallout 2 and I'm encountering another issue. I'm trying to do the ghost farm quest but I talked to Karl before I went to Modoc and I upset him. Now my character is incapable of speaking about Karl to anyone, ever.

Is there a way to reset him or do I just need to start a new game.

If you upset him to the point where he just runs and yells I don't think you can reset him short of some advanced hexediting. It's not worth starting over for, though, just accept that your actions have consequences and move on.

 

[Vigil]

He just fell down and passed out. Now I can't ask him for his story.

Is there a way to reset him?

Yeah, just rest a few hours and he should get up.
