Fallout 2 quest problems

First time out of the vault
I have a couple quests that I can't seem to complete. First, I was able to talk to mynoc and get him to tell me I need a flint, but after I come back with the flint, he's just a "bridge guard" (not sure if he always was) and won't talk to me about the spear. My perception/rep/etc is still as good as it was.

Also, in the Den, I can't seem to get Frankie to talk about why Becky's prices are lower. If I ask for info, he just says he has none.
 
you have to talk to becky and ask what her prices are then go talk to frankie and ask him why her prices are cheaper. as for the mynoc thing, im not sure.
 
I did that. I've bought lots of booze and exhausted every dialog choice possible with Becky and Frankie several times each.
 
I never got the becky's still quest either. I think my speech is kinda low, maybe 40ish.
 
Not sure anymore, maybe a bug? I don't even think it really depends on your speech, but more on your intelligence
 
About Mynoc: you need perception, at least 6, to notice his spear being sharper than yours. From the symptoms, it's got nothing to do with stats - after you've been to Klamath or Den and return, he'll dialogue changes into something like "Hey, Chosen, go ahead and save our village, now what're you waiting for?" (from Per's guide). Been to either of those?
 
The more intelligence you have, the more dialog options you will get. Speech skill is only used if you need to persway them to do something.
