Fallout 2 Sound glitch - Help needed.

First time out of the vault
Hello there.

I recently found my good ol' Fallout 2 and installed it right away.
(US-version)
But even after updating it to v. 1.02 I still found some sound bugs.

It seems like the in game sounds like gunshots, punches and stuff disappears randomly.
Does anyone have a solution to this?

1. Yes, wrong forum AGAIN.

2. There is an edit button.

3. "If the problem is crashing, video, sound, or some other technical problem like that, make sure you include your computer specs, OS, DirectX version, relevant hardware, etc."

4. Read the "Read before posting" post.

Moved, and hanging by a thread.

English isn't my main language, so I misread the topic.
My deepest apologies.

And for the record: I have never had this kind of sound problem with any game before.

Specs:
Win XP sp2
AMD Athlon 2400+
1024 mb memory
Direct X: 9.0c (7.09.000.0904)
Geforce FX 5600 128mb - driver version 84.21
Sound: Creative Sound Blaster PCI128 ver. 4113

Sound problems on XP have frequently been associated with hardware sound acceleration. Here is an example of a thread where such a problem was solved using the dxdiag utility.
