Fallout 2 Steam's + MegaMod interface issue

Torres

First time out of the vault
So I have found this topic:
http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=769532&sid=8ed3115b1e81ef4fb5247f3ab428d702

And I'm having kind of the same issue, I can't play the MM at higher resolutions.

I first installed the unnoficial 1.02 patch, then the MegaMod 2.44 and then the fallout 2 high res.

My game works fine at 800x600 (except for some minor pixels) but when I apply higher res it just displays a terribly unreadable text. No errors other than I can't play at 1280x720.

Well thanks in advance :wink: .

A screen capture would help us understand exactly what's happening. use the F12 key in Fallout, and look for a BMP image inside the Fallout folder - please convert it to a GIF for size.

Isn't that what happens when you set a higher resolution in the hi-res patch than what is in ddraw.ini?

Try to open ddraw.ini and under the [Graphics] section, change mode 4 to mode 0 instead and it shouldn't interfere with the hi-res patch.
I can't remember if the sand storm effect in Megamod needs to be run in a dx9 mode to work, if that is the case maybe you shouldn't do that (I always hated that sand storm, so no big loss though).

You can also set just the following values to the same you set in the hi-res patch:
GraphicsWidth=1024
GraphicsHeight=768

Well thank you very much kind sir, that solved the issue with the text being unreadable but the borders are still unfixed.

Anyways I think I will give up and get back to Killap's restoration project :(
