Fallout 2 Weapon Problem

Hey guys, I've tried a search and couldn't dig anything up, so here goes:

I can't pick up or buy certain weapons. Bozar, Sniper Rifle, Flamer, FN FAL and Rocket Launcher so far. They appear on corpses and in some shops (New Reno Arms for example) but I can't add them to my inventory. I thought it was just heavy weapons, but I have no problems with the Minigun

Am I being a complete idiot or has anyone else had this issue?

Maybe its because you cant CARRY them, next time you add a weapon to your inventory you should get a message in the bottom left screen saying you cant hold that much.

even with an empty inventory I can't pick them up. I don't get any message about my inventory being too full, it just won't go into my inventory

For example, on the trade screen I can't even drag it into the 'to be traded' part, it just snaps back to the traders inventory

It sounds as if you're just not positioning them correctly. Try dragging them a little to the left or right of what you've been doing so far.

Nope, not that either. I have no bother buying other items in the same trade or picking up other items on corpses...

Actually, the same thing happens to me. Usually I notice that it occurs for larger sprites that hang over the edges of the column. It's just a bug for certain items-- usually you just need to reposition them a little. At least that's what happened to me, and it sounds similar.

I had this problem my first time through the game, such that I came to believe you could only have one sniper rifle at a time.

If you're still having trouble positioning the icon properly, why not try the "take all" button?
