Fallout 2 where can you first aquire a mentat?

First time out of the vault
I am playing fallout 2 with a iq of 3. Looking for the first place I would aquire a menat while following the general gameplay so not going west to san fran. But in normal gameplay where can I first get one either by store or location.

foar a guranteed location.... lynette in vault city has one at least... as does the scientist in broken hills that has the pet scorpian
 
The bar guy in Klamath and stores in the Den have Mentats *sometimes*.
If not then the first guaranteed place would be Lynette (you have to steal from her). The first guaranteed store to have it I think is the pharmacy in New Reno.
