just dusted off my old copy of Fallout 2 and I am trying to play it on my New Alienwear laptop. My laptop is running windows vista. I have no trouble installing the game however when I install with the largest option after starting the game it will crash to the desktop after intro. So I reinstall with the smallest option and can get through to the temple of trials and once I enter the cd starts to spin and nothing will happen. After I wait awhile the game crashes and I get an error (can not read from memory type error). I know that the disk is scratched and I think that this is why. come to think of it when I try to install the largest option the red bar does not finish to the right but I do get the finish install screen. I also get an error that says fallout 2 needs 20 MB of hard disk space. I did buy a new copy of Fallout 2 in hopes that it will solve the trouble. Does anyone think this is the trouble?
