Fallout 3/NV models converted to Fallout 2/Fonline?

A long time ago I saw fallout 3 and new vegas models converted to fallout critter. How to do it for other models? Example for power armors and weapons?

Extract the modell you want, then open it in Nifskope export as .obj then open it in 3D's Max,Maya,Blender....

Alternatively, there are .nif importers for most 3D software out there. I have one for blender and can import .nif files directly.
