I really love the Fallout games, and especially the world, so I wonder if anyone of you know of any books that are "fallout-ish" ?

There is a similar topic somewhere in the archives. Look there, maybe you'll find it.

'Where the wind Blows' by ...um...someone is after a nuclear war
I have a protect and Survive manuel that Would have been issued in England IF there was a Nuclear war. Try the Fan Fic page. Read mine.

Oh yes I have spent soemtime looking for Fallout-ish books, here are a few of my Favorites (these are just a few):

A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter M. Miller (I think that is his first name)
St. Leibowitz and the Wild Horse Woman by Walter M. Miller

Alas, Babylon (can't remember author)

Here's a few Technical books on Nuclear War:

Th Cold and Dark: The Biological Effects of Nuclear War
Carl Sagan, Elrich, Roberts. Out of Print

The Day After World War 3 Edward Zuckerman

A Path Where No Man Thought: Nuclear Winter and the Arms Race
Sagan

This is hardly a complete list just my few favorites, for a really REALLY big list of books on the subject go to:

Sagan was a great guy. I remember the day he died... I wasn't that old at the time and don't remember well, but I DO remember driving by the place that he lived all the time whenever my parents took me out on road trips. Damn do I miss the east coast! You might not have the IPO's but you DO have affordable land :)

hey, you should read steven kings the stand. its not excactly about nuclear war but its very similar. 99.4% of the population is wiped out by the "superflu" as they call it and the survivors have wierd ass dreams. it turns into this fight between good and evil and all that. if youve ever read stephen king, you know how nutz he is.

also, check out The Postman. I know, the movie sucked but the book is a lot better. in fact, i think the game designers of fallout got a lot of their ideas from the postman becasue there are some parts of the book that are very similar to the fallout world. but........

if you really wanna read a bad ass fallout story read mine. its on the fan fiction page its called "ASH".

oh yeah and theres some book called "on the beach" or something like that. its about these dudes on austrailia after a nuclear war.
