VERTIBIRDS! I was playing Jagged Alliance 2 the other day and I was thinking, "Man, Fallout Tactics really needs vertibirds." There's nothing like getting the snot kicked out of you, then calling in the chopper and hopping on and riding outta there. ;)

I just started playing JA2 and so far they don't seem that cool in the game. All they do is slide across the screen and you can't even do anything while they are there. I don't think the Brotherhood has vertibirds.

Wow, quick pick-up/drop-off/resupplying not a good thing, when it would take days of travel otherwise? Or have you missed the part in the manual about using vehicles?

Sorry that Skyrider isn't exactly flying an Apache.

I haven't got that far in the game to get any vehicles yet. All I see so far is the one that drops the mercs into the entry point.

The helicopter is a vehicle. One that flies.

[font size=1" color="#FF0000]LAST EDITED ON Dec-17-02 AT 07:48PM (GMT)[p]I assume the one at Dressen is the one you can use to get around the map. I haven't found the pilot yet. I didn't see any way to get around anywhere else with the one that flies your mercs in from the outside world. Or is there a way to call that one in to pick your squad up? Other than moving your troops about is there another use for the vehicles? I can't believe that you can use the chopper as a mobile shooting platform like the Huey in Nam.

Transport is pretty much the use for the vehicles, and they will become very handy, especially the chopper Skyrider pilots. After you liberate Drassen in full, check out the swamp/forest areas near there and you'll often run into him.

Unlike FOT's special encounters, JA2's can appear in different locations of the map. :D

Yea just look around Draussen for a guy named Skyrider.....

You can ride the chopper to zones and also have him come pick you up... it can cost as much as like $1500 or more each way tho, so be prepared for that. :p

You cant attack from the chopper, but I can understand that. Its a transport chopper, and even in 'nam they woldnt set down Hueys in hot LZs
