Fallout for your phone?

First time out of the vault
I did a quick search and didn't see anything regarding this, but has anyone even thought about Modding out Fallout for phones?

I can barely spell the word Mod, and I'm new to this forum, so please excuse if this subject has already been poked at with sticks of many shapes and sizes. Anyway i'd buy buy it if I could play FO on me phone. Dat would be sweet.
 
You would either need a dos or windows emulator for your 'Phone'.

In short: unless you have the most powerfull cellphone ever made, then the answer is most likely no.

What you are talking about is a PORT not a 'mod' mods are SIMPLE modifications that alter a prexisting attribute of a game.

Fallout could NOT be ported to your phone because so source code for it exists.
 
i think mostly (PD):s could be possibly but phones?
but isnt microsoft doing work for new windows (PD) which would be possibly for Fallout games cause hard-drive should be something about 2 Gib and something like that.. blah blah,,,
 
That's Gibibyte, 2^30 bytes (rather than Gigabyte, which is 10^9 bytes).

Unless it's got decent RAM and CPU, you can forget it, tho.
 
There is a fallout clone (blah..) for phones... but not much like the fallout we know. Get someone who's good at java programming and build a new engine and there you have it. Not very legal but what the heck =) (Ofcourse you would really have to dump a lot of the features to get it working... not to mention dump the size of the tiles, meaning quality)

Ofcourse no one will do this since it's so darn time consuming.
 
Not only time consuming but also kinda pointless.

Same reason why there are no RPGs for consoles.

And no, Final Fantasy does not count.
