Fallout Inspired Dark Ambient Music

First time out of the vault
Hi , I'm new here (I've been on NMA a lot of times just never had an account in the forums) I'm a big fan of the first 2 fallouts and fallout tactics.

Well I started to play synthesizer less than a year ago and I am making Dark Ambient music and my main inspiration is the Fallout soundtracks , I love Mark Morgan's work.

I will continue to make more for my upcoming project this Fall , and I'm getting used to recording,mixing,mastering at the same time , I do all of this myself on my PC with virtual synths.
 
thanks ! I'll check these out , I discovered 2 days ago Kammarheit (album: The Starwheel ) its so good right the style I wanted to do the stuff. Could really fit anything fallout really .

Edit: Ah, Lustmord, big ol' papa of dark ambient. Can't wait to hear his new album.
 
Really good! Reminds me more of the Stalker OST than Fallout ost, but both are awesome nonetheless. Glad more people enjoy doing and hearing dark ambient music. :)

Atomkilla , I used Steinberg Dark Planet for the synths sounds , with Reaper D.A.W. , + many free plugins for the mixing/mastering.
 
thanks I'm working on a new one , I got couple of ideas don't know how much time it will take. I got a new synth last week so I'm programming new sounds, I got a couple of good ones.
 
I have a question though - why don't you name your project?
It's great stuff, really, and I think you should give it a name.

Otherwise, you should contact the guy from Cryo Chamber if you'd like to promote your music a bit. He is the guy behind Atrium Carceri (you've probably heard of this dark ambient - if not, give it a try, it's great), and he promotes dark ambient projects on his channel. That is, if you'd like some publicity, so to speak.

I also think he is a fan of Fallout, too.
 
Yeah I'm in the process of getting an artist page and all that stuff , getting a logo and everything , a friend of mine does graphic design so I might ask him.

It will be called Metzger , I actually used that name long time ago I had other ideas back then but now I'd re-use that name and get a new logo. (fans of fallout 2 you probably know who Metzger is ! )
(the old logo I had the "t" was upside down like an inverted cross , I was very into black metal lol)

I have a friend, and his friend is the owner of a label so If my stuff get good enough maybe .... And I could contact the guy from Cryochamber, I want to get more material out too before I do that.

as far as instruments , for now I kept it simple I only use soft synths I own Steinberg Dark Planet & Padshop Pro , I use Arturia's Minimoog V,Jupiter 8V, Prophet V , CS 80V & ARP2600V. So its synthesizers only for now , when I'll have the time I'll try to experiment a little and try to incorporate some electric guitar into this, maybe straight audio recordings or into the padshop sampler.

Man, I wish you luck. You make some good music. Hope there are more people out there who will appreciate it.
