Fallout-inspired Halloween costumes, anyone?

First time out of the vault
Well, it's almost that time of year again. Four weeks to come up with something new and different. So... got any ideas for the best Fallout characters or objects to impersonate? Any thoughts on how to put together a good "Master" costume? Or maybe just go as a ghoul? Would a "Vault Door" costume be too cumbersome to fit into the standard party?

Thoughts?

How about vault jumpsuit with number 13 on the back? :)

BTW, have you ever been in delphi forums chat? Your avatar is familiar...

i was tinkering with the idea of putting together a mutant costume, or a Harold costume, one as a cool haloween costume, also to test out a few ideas for the project. If we crank anything out Il post some pics

A ghoul costume could be just a standard Zombie costume. They are not that dissimilar.

That would certainly be a low-budget solution. Gotta avoid the Dreaded Codpiece Effect, tho...

It's a resized clip from this famous painting of Da Boss:

(Actually, I was going to try for a Cthulhu costume this year, but my SO vetoed when it came to scads of Green Body Paint smeared across my naked torso.)

A first citizen Lynette costume would scare me...
Certainly. But how to make sure people don't mistake you for a rabid Oprah?

Except the ghouls are well-armed an' sneaky an' stuff. Gotta accessorize with a shotgun and some body armor.

Excellent. Speaking of costume pics, here is a record of what might just be the worst good costume ever.

Warning: once you have gazed upon it, you cannot unsee it!
It is an unfortunate example of a decent idea totally betrayed by beergut and the Dreaded Codpiece Effect.

I'd love to see a deathclaw costume... but oh how labor intensive that would be...

dress up your dog as a deathclaw and have him chase away those filthy trick or treaters.......

I proably wont do a costume.

If I do, I'll do a Jedi one since I allready have the main prop needed.......

I would be more partial to wearing an Enclave Power Armor Mk II suit. Those things look killer, but have to be hard as hell to make.

What I'd do for a shit load of Kelvar, Ceramic plates and tons of Leather. However, I can't norrow it done beyond the Leather Jacket, Leather Armor and Combat armor. I could always go for the "Kenshiro" look (or why not my own armor concepts from my own graphic novel?). Hokuto no Ken is the greatest.

A couple of years ago I went as the Vault Dweller. I have a blue long sleeve t-shirt that I ripped one sleeve off of and I had a leather jacket that I took on and off occasionally. I thought about making Power Armor but lost interest I guess after not having all of the tools to do it nor the time. You can buy armor plates for use in vests for like $300 a piece.

solution for a low budget power armor costume: cardboard and aluminum foil

What exactly would make this "power" armor?

Im going to dress up as Michael The Arch Angel and smash you all for celebrating a satanist holiday...

Yes, thats a very "love thy neighbor" type attitude. Way to represent your religion, with violence. Also, did you stumble here on accident? You're posting in a forum for fans of a game that has people getting sawed in half by machine guns, and every other filthy aspect of life and crime you can imagine. Does Jesus approve of you playing this game? Jesus you make me sick.
