Fallout Tactics patches don't seem to be working.

First time out of the vault
Hey all, obviously I'm new here but I have read the board many years usually getting information I never had to ask for.

Anyway, I have an original CD version of Fallout Tactics. I just got a new laptop running Windows 7 64bit for college and decided I wanted to be able to play some original Fallout games on it. I installed Tactics and started playing but there were glitches immediately prevalent so I tried to download the patches.

I saw the high res patch and tried it first but it says "Offset mismatch! This does not seem to be a compatible version of the BOS.exe."

I did some reading and figured I needed to download patch 1.27 for it to work. So I tried to install that and it gets to the Install Shield wizard and loads in a quick second once I hit next but it doesn't seem to actually do anything.

Now am I doing this wrong? Where exactly do you save the patches to, it's been several years since I have done it. I just thought it was the 14 Degrees Folder or do I save it in "core" or something else within the game folder? Any help would be appreciated!

Where did you install the game? In program files or another folder e.g. c:\games? If in program files in might be user account control preventing the patch from installing properly, try disabling UAC and reinstalling the patch or reinstall the game in another directory.
