Fallout Tatics MOD Concept

Psyckosama

First time out of the vault
It may or may have been done already but here is my idea...

The Fallout Tactics "Make Sense" mod.

It adds two simple features that are missing from the normal game campaign but *gasp* MAKE SENSE!

1) You get paid. At the end of each level you get an amount of BOS Dollars dropped into each of your characters inventory according to their rank.

2) A nurse (lets call her 'Joy') in the BOS bases that heals a character when you talk to her!

Opinions?

1) Paying the characters sounds like a nice idea, if there was something for them to spend it on other than equipment. Anyway the triggers to transfer items between the player and npcs are buggy and don't always work, besides which you already get rewarded for scavenging.

2) There's no trigger to give a player health, so the only way to do this is either have a doctor/nurse npc who temporarily joins your squad but since you can just recruit a medic from the pool it doesn't seem worth it. You can set up a deathtrap to do negative damage, which will slowly heal the player but since this will not heal broken limbs, blindness etc and most of your hitpoints will be healed by the time you travel to and from the bunker it's easier just to take a doctor from the recruit pool or buy a doctor's bag and heal your self.

I liked the bunker in FO1.
You could go to the doc and get healed.
Ditto the AI computer in FO2 Shi town.

With the 1.26 or 1.27 or whateverthehell patch it is, you get healed every time you enter a BoS bunker.

Not exactly, spending time travelling around the world map will heal you, for most injuries. So by the time you return to the bunker you'll usually be back to full health.
