i know this is kinda a lame post but.....for the past 4 days i have been having dreams where i was in the fallout world, and i was thinking i would love to see a fallout movie. wouldn't be great to see something you love played out on a BIG movie screen? maybe, maybe not you decided.also even IF they did come out with a fallout movie and you disagreed with it i know every fallout fan would go and watch it anyways.

There were actually some talk about this earlier on, but it seems like it all fell through. But Fallout was partically based upon Mad Max, so go see those movies over again..

I watched both Mad Max movies a while ago again. They still have their charm.

As for a Fallout movie, i don't think it'd work. My idea of Fallout, would mean watching someone running around a town, talking to people asking them questions about a water chip, that wouldn't be very interesting. But i bet that's even wishful thinking.

Any Fallout movie would most likely be based on FO2's and FOT's middleground, emphasizing car chases/vehicle combat a lá Mad Max, and people shooting the crap out of each other with miniguns a lá any run of the mill action movie. And the big screen would really be able to display those minigun effects that look really friggin cool.

So what would it actually be? A Mad Max clone, set in USA instead of Australia? Me thinks it'd just be another gimmick out to rape Fallout's name.

That's my skeptic opinion. My reasonable opinion says such a movie will never be made.

i agree with you but i've watched mad max so many times and thunder dome was a rancid movie if you ask me. i think a person running around looking for a water chip would be cool. or the movie could start from where the overseer is telling you to destory the mutant base and the master. and flashbacks of you searching for the water chip could pop up. i would love to see someone with a plasma rifle blasting mutants away on the big screen.

you know those books where you make a choice kof what you want to do.. and to see the outcome you turn to a certain page?... choose your won adventures i think they're called. they should make a fallout movie like that... dvd format so you can clikc buttons and stuff. ...

uh.....you should get a cookie just for comming up with an idea thats goofy enough to work. but that would be kinda dumb

Another interesting post-apocalypse fill you might check out is A Boy and his Dog. (see Don Johnson insulted by a dog!). There is a lot of similarity there to the doctor in Vault City too.

Has anyone tried to come up with a Fallout comic or graphic novel yet? This would seem to be better than a movie or tv series.

The only problem would be loyalty to the original story line.

[font size=1" color="#FF0000]LAST EDITED ON Oct-02-02 AT 05:07AM (GMT)[p]It's not a bad idea. God knows interplay can use the money on merchandise rights.:D But if it's a hollywood production, just hope it's not another "Waterworld". :( It was post-nuclear(I think) as well somewhat.

A graphic novel series would be a great idea, but who would draw it? I kinda like the Asian style mangas, but I am sure everyone else have their own taste on this topic. Akira was similar in theme as well, come to think of it, post-apo. and all. He also had another series that has a female main character that is also Falloutish. Well just an old man's fancies. :)
