Fallout: the Table-Top Game

Yes you read the title, a Fallout table top game in the vein of Warhammer. While it doesn't exist yet, I had an idea to make a Necromunda (for those who aren't in the know, a smaller, more RPGish table top game where you have a small gang not army) influenced rules. Not for profit obviously cause I'll be sued to kingdom come if I do by Games Workshop and Bethesda. I already have a basic idea of the rules, which will be using Necromunda rules, obviously with a Fallout twist. Figures will have to be converted from existing Game Workshop figures, which shouldn't be too hard due to the fact that they're easily convertible and one can only imagine how much conversion that can be done with their products (yes they're expensive which can be VERY annoying). So where should it be set? What time?

(Time and setting will define factions and races so as to be lore friendly as possible)

Well figures certainly do not have to be converted. There are hundreds of companies that do 28mm scale models in plastic, metal and resin that you can piece together and ultimately make anything you can think of. There are a lot of rule sets out there that I would be shocked to hear that there are no rules for post apocalyptic wasteland scenarios that you can't simply tweak.

There are some Fallout minis out there too for Brotherhood of steel and so on which may be of interest to you.

In short, id avoid anything GW related. People who love GW aren't often into other games and people into other games aren't usually into GW.

Yeah I know, GW is expensive and all. And thanks, will do!

There are a healthy amount of honestly-not-fallout minis floating around. Russian fella doing tons of stuff including a bunch of robots, some PA types, deathclaws e.t.c. (Be warned, it's all fallout 3/NV style. some good stuff though!), a couple doing stuff like brahmin and radscorpions, and one guy on TMP doing various animals.

Plus the bunch of companies that do assorted postapoc dudes, not too much conversion work needed!

Necromunda is a really cool ruleset for that kind of small-scale firefight, and a cool representation of fallout 1-tactics style combat tbh. Lots of other gang-war rulesets, some of them better, but it's the one you're most likely to find people who already know and will have an easy time playing!

Yeah Necromunda is perfect for this, especially the outlanders rulebook.

There is actually a Fallout tabletop, it's called Fallout PnP, I believe it was a supplemental content that came with Fallout Tactics (or was at least released at around the same time?)

NMA has it to download: http://www.nma-fallout.com/downloads.php?do=cat&id=63

I've also personally developed a more streamlined version that plays a lot more like a true tabletop and not a quasi tabletop roleplay, happy to share it with you if you'd be interested.

Please do!

There's also Fallout: Warfare, which came on the Fallout: Tactics bonus disc.

Good news! I found the basic document I was putting together, I'm going to add a few last minute tweaks and check it over for readability then I'll float a Download for you!

I'd just use BRP.
The system uses a percentile skill system and is simple enough to modify into whatever you want.
Either that or find some old pdf of Gamma World or one of its retro-clones. Even if it's not "Fallout" it's very much in the very same tradition, just a lot wackier and lighter-hearted. (You roll for mutations, good or bad, unless you're a "pure human.")

My friend homebrewed an open D20 fallout game set in Indiana. Also I have a fallout GURPS pdf that was a fanmade thing both work pretty well.
