Fallout: Wasteland Warfare

Do we have a thread about this?

I can't seem to find it.

Anyway, tried this tabletop wargame/skirmish the other day and was positively surprised. It felt like basically playing PVP Wasteland. Fairly straightforward and streamlined rules, small number of well made models and equipment options and as a bonus it has plenty of original Fallout games armor/weapons. It even has a simplified SPECIAL system.

Honestly I was positively surprised. As I've said, it reminds me a lot of modern Wasteland games, without a grid.

I've seen the minis and they look great, I was planning on grabbing some just to paint up.

Ok here's a few of my more recent ones. The radscorpion is 3d printed the rest are official models. I've got a ton that are stored in boxes so I didn't get them out

We played last night, a squad dispatched to assist the brotherhood during operation sunburst were attacked by super mutants when they went to close to black mountain attempting to avoid scorpion gulch. The brotherhood managed to prevail with some injuries.

If I ever get into this game, an Operation Sunburst encounter would be amazing to play.

It's the paper 3x3 you get in the starter set. Need to get a wasteland neoprene one sometime

Are the cardboard buildings also in the set or did you make those?

Neoprene is cool, but nothing can beat a well made styrodur board. It takes effort but is just on another level when finished.
The complete flatness of cardboard/cloth/neoprene boards just cannot compare to the depth of 3D terrain.

That being said, I too play on printed cardboard, so it's not really a big deal.

I made the black cardboard terrain for 40k. I was just feeling a bit lazy so I didn't get the battle systems terrain out. Have to link it to imgur because it's too big for NMA. This set came with a 2x2 mat which is nice too, they have a wasteland set. It's cardboard you clip together, it also comes with things like boxes, shelves, tables and beds to put inside the rooms.

Imgur is loading like a piece of shit on my phone, so I can't see it now in detail, but thumbnail is interested looking.

We have a 40k thread in tO tho, come join.

Man I spaced on the reply, I haven't been too keen on 40k since 10th dropped. The focus on objectives takes the fun out of it for me. Sitting on a point with my Black Templars or World Eaters so my score goes up instead of charging and fighting is very boring and not the theme of my army. I enjoy 30ks ruleset immensely though
