First time out of the vault
hey guys, i hope my english is good enough that you can follow my idea...
i've got an idea how to "expand" the f3 worldmap to a world where the distance between the locations is far bigger than it is now and also increase the size of the single locations like a city...
basic idea would be to use diffenerent smaller "world maps" as locations (single locations are a lot smaller than the whole f3 world map of course) on a travelmap like in f2...
ok ähm that means...
a.)
designing a travelsystem similar to the one used in f2 (maybe it'd be easier without the "free travel" to any place in the desert... you can only travel to a verified location(city,cave,...)).
b.) each hour of travelling from location to location will have a certain chance to have a random encounter (the random-locations would again be another "world maps" ... in size about 2x2 big squares in the vanilla f3 world)
c.) the main locations are some bigger towns and cities; they are bigger in size (more houses,people,...) and have a surrounding area with several smaller farms, small hunting-communities in the hills or tribal villages and so on.... ("world size" for a location about 4x4 big squares on f3 world map)
ok what do you think about it?
