how the heck do i extract fallout1 dats, cant use any of the dat extractors i have(datmanlite, datexplorer)

Perhaps because these were made to unpack the Fallout 2 DAT files, try downloading the Fallout 1 undat programs: http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/dload.php?action=category&cat_id=27

There is a version of DATman for Fallout 1 that works well, seems to unpack a bit faster than the FO2 version as well
