First time out of the vault
Hey, everytime I try to load up Fallout 2, I get that problem... I'm on XP, so that might explain it, but is there anyway to fix this problem?
 
You're so hopelessly boned. Try borrowing someone else's CD and install from it to see if your files hadn't been corrupted beyond use.
 
Ok, thanks for you help... I realised it happens to both Fallout 1 AND 2... I can install them, play them usually once and when I try the second time I get that error... I have to then re-install the game and play again, re-install, etc. I've checked my Computer for virus', but haven't found any, so I'm not sure what the problem is exactly.
 
This IS bizarre. Try setting your *.exe files to Read Only prior to running the game, perhaps?
 
Ok, I did both of those things and I don't know which one had it work, but one of them did so thanks a lot guys! Saves me a lot of time, thanks heaps!
