I heard about Fallout2Patcher utility development. As I noticed it's not a problem "generally" run F2 in higher resolutions but there are placement problems with i-face objects such as main i-face or dialog i-face.
BUT
Maybe it would be easier (for first step) to create such patch to run F2
in it's orginal (640 x 480p) but wide-screen WVGA mode (852 x 480p). In such case it wouldn't be problems with i-face's placement just becouse the vertical resolution ramains unchanged (480p).
I think such WVGA patch would be very useful - more & more peoples having wide-screens displays and F2 would look much more better in WVGA than just VGA in such devices.
