I'm almost scared to post anything FaME related 'cause I got pounced on last time, but here goes.

I think I was the main one whining that it wouldn't work for me last time, now it does...kinda. I can at least get to the main screen, but after I select which mods I want to be in and pick to play the game it gives me the message:

Run time error '48'
File now found: zlib.dll

Um, if getting that file can make it work for me, what is it and where can I get it?

you should download the archive again. extract it and then run it, WITHOUT moving the executable file somewhere... you probably can't see system and hidden files (and zlib.dll is hidden). Turn on that option in edit/folder settings, i think it's there

Possibly one of these:

A:You need to run the old version of FaME once before you run the patched version (FaME2.exe)
B:Are you trying to run the patch or original?

Tryin to run the patch, the original always gives me an error message when I click on it. Anything in that folder that -doesn't- need to be there? I just moved the patch stuff right on over and went from there.
If not, is there somewhere I can dl the missing file or whatever?

this should (hopefully) fix everything...

http://clanfusionn.hypermart.net/tms/files/zlib.zip

put it on your c:\windows\system folder, if it still asks for the file, put it the folder where you installed FaME. If it still asks you for the file, well..... I would start caring about your computer's health :-)
