FAME and patch000.dat

Scorpion

First time out of the vault
Ok, so I download FAME to load mods, run it, and it tells me to do this and that and crap.

Now, It says I have to move the file patch000.dat to the Patches folder FAME created. But, it gets and error while doing so. So I try to move the file myself. Problem is, I can't find the file...

Am I missing patch000.dat? Or am I not looking hard enough? I looked in every file/folder, so that can't be a possibility....

:(

I'd venture a guess that you haven't patched your copy of Fallout yet.

You kinda have to see what mod takes what patch, first, though, as some work with one patch and not another. You'll just have to check out the readme of the mod to find out, I guess. :(

Agh, forgot to mention I had Kilap's patch, which means I'm patched up at 1.02.

Not necessarily, there's two versions of Killaps patch one with the official updates and one without.

Plus IIRC Killap's patch doesn't use a patch000.dat, it has all the files unpacked.

Try the MIB88 Megamod, or modrunner instead of FAME.

Oh, well, can you explain why I don't have a patch000.dat?

And can you give me one.... please? :D

Damn, my first post was extremley vague... vauge? Forgot how to spell vauge/vague... >_>;

Yeah, running windows XP...

But, does Kilaps patch delete patch000.dat or what? Or does the official 1.02 patch create it, and Kilaps delete it?
