Fbos get hell

Another Fbos review is done this time around it's GamersHell and they evidently didn't like what they saw:
I wanted Fallout 3. I really, really wanted Fallout 3. In my opinion it’s unfortunate that Interplay wanted to go with consoles and 3D instead of continuing what we all know kicked ass on the PC. Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel isn’t a bad game, but it’s far from memorable. It’ll keep you entertained for a good 10-12 hours, but beyond unlocking harder difficulties there’s not much replay value. I think this is a game for those who thought Fallout was too hard, or too weird, but if you were a die-hard fan of the games, then a rental will be enough. Those simply looking for a new action game might like the game for its good arsenal of weapons and foul language, but in my opinion it’s not a game worth owning.
So Andreas if it's not worth owning then why the gaming hell (pardon the pun!) did you give the game an overall rating of 7.4/10. That just doesn't make sense!

I reckon most of them nowadays use more of a scale of 1 to 5 but add 5 on. Thus the lowest you can get is 5 and the highest 10. That makes it 2.4 out of 5 (or 4.8 out of 10, although 2.4 out of 10 would be more appropriate...).

Just they don't want people accusing them of trying to kill a game.

about gaming magazines and sites giving out higher marks than what seem appropriate according to the 1-10, or percentage scale... that's just the way it is. i don't know if it's because they are afraid of giving low scores and thus not recieve those nice free copies to review or if means that a game just needs a nice package to get a 5+

as i remember (haven't read gaming magazines much lately) the only gaming zine that gave out real low and nasty scores was the now defunct Interface and HighScore magazines (sweden).

long live werner warhead ;)

Hear, hear!

They all do this. Completely kick down a game, and then they still give it a high overall score.
