hey, i was just curious cuz im not too far in this game yet, how far into the game is the flamer? thanks in advance :D
 
Flamers don't show up for a while. You can find the flamer pistol in one of the merchant type special encounters, but there isn't any ammo for it until the middle of the mutant missions or so. To bad, fire is effective against deathclaws.

when is the first big gun then :) well besides the bazooka... stupid game gives me 2 rocket launchers without ammo.... interplay teasing me and toying wiht my mind
 
I believe the first big gun you get is the SAW, which you don't get until St. Louis.

The 1st big gun that I got was the minigun I stole off general Barnkey after the 1st mission :)
 
U do get 2 rocket launchers when u get the hummer and if ur good enough you can kill the raiders before they fire at you so u have 2 rockets to boot aswell. Ur meant to get the M60 before the M246 SAW, but when i got the SAW i also got the Browning aswell (At St. Louis, I just had to take on the mutants at the area that ur not allowed to go :) )The browining pritty much did it for the rest of the game
